Moving Silicon Valley Forward: The Cost of Inequitable Development

From SVBC:

Attend this 17th Healthy Communities Forum to explore how the health of our cities intersects economically, socially, and environmentally. Vu-Bang Nguyen will present Urban Habitat’s new report, “Moving Silicon Valley Forward,” which looks at the economic costs of people’s commutes and homes in the counties of Santa Clara and San Mateo. Nguyen will take this report and detail who is negatively impacted by these costs, how they contribute to climate change, and introduce regional solutions. Afterward, the conversation will open up as presenters and the audience develop strategies on how they can use the presentation’s information in their own communities and make their region economically, socially, and environmentally healthier and more resilient. No charge, open to the public, refreshments provided.

Space is limited, no charge, reserve your seat online.

Organized by: Housing Leadership Council of San Mateo County, City of Menlo Park, and Sierra Club Loma Prieta Chapter
