A collection of Oakland civic groups plan to host a forum next month for candidates for the BART governing board in District 7 in the Nov. 6 election.

BART District 7 covers most of West Contra Costa County as well as Emeryville and sections of Albany, Berkeley, Oakland and San Francisco.

The four candidates are Maria Alegria, of Pinole; Margaret Gordon, of Oakland; Zakhary Mallett, of El Sobrante; and incumbent Lynette Sweet, of San Francisco.

The co-hosts are West Oakland Neighbors, Jack London District Association, Dogtown Neighborhood Association, West Oakland Commerce Association, Oak Center Neighborhood Association, Adams Point Neighborhood Association, Old Oakland Neighborhood Assoc
