• Monday: The SF Board of Supervisors Land Use and Economic Development Committee meets. On the agenda is the creation of the Chinatown Transit Station Special Use District for a Central Subway station at the southwest corner of Stockton Street and Washington Street. 1 pm.
• Tuesday: The SFCTA Plans and Program Committee meets. On the agenda is an allocation of funds for the SFMTA’s Traffic Calming 5-Year Prioritization Program, presentations on the Transportation Sustainability Program and the Regional Transportation Plan/Sustainable Communities Strategy, and more. 9:30 am.
• Also Tuesday: The SF Board of Supervisors meets. On the agenda is the first reading of the proposed ordinance to expedite sidewalk expansions, and the mayor will chime in on the SF Park Mission Bay Plan backlash. 2 pm.
• Wednesday: Green Connections Carnaval: Join the SF Planning Department in kicking off a community planning process to develop a “citywide network of green streets that can be built over time, improving pedestrian and bicycle access to parks, open space and the waterfront.” 5:30 pm.
• Also Wednesday: Join TransForm and the Safe Routes to School National Partnership in jumpstarting the Healthy Transportation Network, “a new collaboration of advocates, community members, health professionals, and planning experts from across the Bay Area.” 9 am.
• Thursday: The SF Board of Supervisors Public Safety Committee will hear an ordinance proposed by Supervisor John Avalos that would require bicycle parking access in downtown office buildings. 10:30 am.
• Friday: SFMTA Engineering Hearing. On the agenda is a set of improvements on Cesar Chavez west (including the lane change imposed by Caltrans), a set of sidewalk bulb-outs and raised crosswalks in SoMa along alleys between Fifth and Sixth Streets, and more. 10 am.
