SFBC Treehouse Talk: SF Great Streets Project

"A year after its launch, the SF Bicycle Coalition’s SF Great Streets Project has made its mark in getting great ideas quickly on the ground all across San Francisco. This project has helped shape the City’s trial pedestrian plazas, its flexible parking program which allows businesses to re-adapt on-street parking spaces into places for cafe seating or bike parking, and its historic Market Street trials which are testing ideas, like forced right turns for private autos, in anticipation of the street’s repaving in 2013. Kit Hodge, the project’s director will share her ideas for what’s next. Looking at examples from city’s around the world, you’ll learn more about exciting improvements that will create thriving streets that are inviting places to bike, walk, shop and live."
