This Week: Embarcadero Bikeway, 30-Stockton, Buses + Beers

The SFMTA will hold public meetings this week on upgrades for the Muni’s 30-Stockton and on a protected bikeway along the Embarcadero. The SF Transit Riders Union will also get together for another “PUBlic Transit” crawl along the L-Taraval.

Here are this week’s highlights from the Streetsblog calendar:

  • Monday: SPUR’s lunchtime forum looks at the challenges of making automobile-centric suburbs more people-friendly and sustainable. 12:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday: The SFMTA will hold another open house on Muni upgrades, this time for the 30-Stockton. Proposals include transit-only lanes for portions of the route, as well as bulb-outs at bus stops and pedestrian crossings. 6:30 p.m.
  • Thursday: The SFMTA will hold its second public workshop on an Embarcadero protected bikeway. This one will focus on the segment between Broadway and Folsom Streets. Come weigh in on the designs. 5:30 p.m.
  • Also Thursday: Come support a better Muni over beers with SFTRU’s second  PUBLIC Transit crawl. The ride will hit four bars along the L-Taraval route, including the Castro, West Portal, and Outer Sunset. 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
