Commutes are difficult for many in the Bay Area, but they’re particularly hard for lower-income workers with less flexible schedules and jobs far from public transit. As the Bay Area prepares for a three-year federal grant for economic development, a team of researchers is gathering important information on how the Bay Area’s system and pattern of job location affect workers with less than a college degree.
