PARK(ing) Day

"Join the SFBC at Parking Day – volunteer to help plan, set up and dismantle the SFBC PARK(ing) spot. Email marc@sfbike.org to volunteer. The SFBC will also be setting up a very special Energizer Station on PARK(ing) Day to showcase our fantastic outreach program to visiting bicycle and walking advocacy groups.

PARK(ing) Day is an annual, one-day, global event where artists, activists, and citizens collaborate to temporarily transform metered parking spots into "PARK(ing)" spaces: temporary public parks. Anyone can participate in PARK(ing) Day, though it is strictly a non-commercial project, intended to promote creativity, civic engagement, critical thinking, unscripted social interactions, generosity and play. www.parkingday.org"
